It was then that the fox appeared.
"Good morning." said the fox.
"Good morning." the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.
"I am right here." the voice said, " under the apple tree."
"Who are you?" asked the little prince, and added,
"You are very pretty to look at,"
"I am a fox." said the fox.
"Come and play with me." proposed the little prince.
" I am so unhappy."
"I cannot play with you." the fox said.
"I am not tamed."
"Ah! Please excuse me." said the little prince.
But, after some thought, he added: "What does that mean- 'tame'?"
"You do not live here." said the fox.
"What is it that you are looking for?"
"I am looking for men." said the little prince.
"What does that mean 'tame'?"
"Men." said the fox.
"Thay have guns, and they hunt. It is very disturbing. They also raise chickens.
There are their only interests. Are you looking for chickens?
"No." said the little prince.
"I am looking for friends. What does that mean 'tame'?"
"It is an act too often neglected." said the fox. It means to establish ties."
"To establish tie?"
"Just that." said the fox.
"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other littleboys.
And I have no need of you.
And you, on your part, have no need of me.
To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.
But of you tame me, then we shall need each other.
To me, you will be unique in all world.
To you, I shall be unique in all the world.
It was then that the fox appeared.
바로 그 때 여우가 나타났습니다.
"Good morning." said the fox.
"안녕" 여우가 말했습니다.
"Good morning." the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.
"안녕" 어린왕자가 예의바르게 대답했습니다. 그가 몸을 돌렸을 때 아무것도 보지 못했지만 말입니다.
"I am right here." the voice said, " under the apple tree."
"나 여기있어" 어떤 목소리가 들렸습니다. "사과나무 아래야."
"Who are you?" asked the little prince, and added,
"너 누구니?" 어린왕자가 물었습니다. 그리고 덧붙였다.
"You are very pretty to look at,"
"너 참 예쁘게 생겼구나."
"I am a fox." said the fox.
"나는 여우야." 여우가 말했습니다.
"Come and play with me." proposed the little prince.
"나랑 놀자." 어린 왕자가 말했습니다.
" I am so unhappy."
"난 지금 너무나 슬퍼"
"I cannot play with you." the fox said.
"나는 너랑 놀 수 없어." 여우가 말했습니다.
"I am not tamed."
"Ah! Please excuse me." said the little prince.
"아! 미안해" 어린왕자가 말했습니다.
But, after some thought, he added: "What does that mean- 'tame'?"
하지만 조금 생각한 뒤에, 다시 말했습니다. "길들이다가 무슨 뜻이야.
"You do not live here." said the fox.
"너는 여기 살지 않구나." 여우가 말했다.
"What is it that you are looking for?"
"여기서 뭐 찾고 있어?"
"I am looking for men." said the little prince.
"사람을 찾고 있어" 어린 왕자가 말했습니다.
"What does that mean 'tame'?"
"길들이다가 무슨 뜻이야?"
"Men." said the fox.
"사람이라.." 여우가 말했습니다.
"Thay have guns, and they hunt. It is very disturbing. They also raise chickens.
"그들은 총을 가지고 있고, 사냥을 하지.. 매우 귀찮은 존재들이야. 그들은 또한 닭을 길러.
There are their only interests. Are you looking for chickens?
그것이 그들의 유일한 관심사야. 너도 닭을 찾고 있니?
"No." said the little prince.
"아니." 어린왕자가 말했습니다.
"I am looking for friends. What does that mean 'tame'?"
"나는 친구를 찾고 있어. 길들이다가 무슨 뜻이야?"
"It is an act too often neglected." said the fox. "It means to establish ties."
"그것은 너무 자주 소홀히 대해지곤해. " 여우가 말했다. "그것은 관계를 맺는다는 뜻이야."
"To establish tie?"
"관계를 맺는다?"
"Just that." said the fox.
"바로 그거야." 여우가 말했습니다.
"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other littleboys.
"나에게 너는 그냥 수백만 수천만의 어린이들 중에 한명 그 이상도 이하도 아니야."
And I have no need of you.
그래서 나는 니가 필요없지.
And you, on your part, have no need of me.
"너에게는 또한 내가 필요없어.
To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.
너에게 나는 수백 수천만마리의 여우 그이상도 이하도 아니야.
But of you tame me, then we shall need each other.
그러나 니가 나를 길들이면, 그때 우리는 서로를 필요로 해.
To me, you will be unique in all world.
나에게 너는 유일한 존재가 될거야.
To you, I shall be unique in all the world.
너에게 나는 유일한 존재가 되기도 하고.
tame 길들이다.
