The fox gazed at the little prince, for a long time.
"Please, tame me" he said.
"I want to, very much." the little prince replied.
"But I have not much time. I have friends to discover, and a great many things to understand."
"One only understands the things that one tames." said the fox.
"Men have no more time to understand anything.
They buy things all ready made at the shops.
But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more.
If you want a friend, tame me."
"What must I do, to tame you?" asked the little prince.
"You must be very patient." replied the fox.
"First you will sit down at a little distance from me - like that - in the grass.
I shall look at you out of the corner of my eye, and you will say nothing.
Words are the source of misunderstandings.
But you will sit a little closer to me, every day.."

여우는 오랫동안 어린 왕자를 바라봤습니다.
"Please, tame me" he said.
"제발 날 길들여줘." 그가 말했습니다.
"I want to, very much." the little prince replied.
"나도 정말 그러고 싶어." 어린왕자가 대답했습니다.
"But I have not much time. I have friends to discover, and a great many things to understand."
"하지만 시간이 많이 없어. 찾아야 하는 친구도 있고, 이해하고 싶은 것도 많고."

"누구든지 자신이 길들인 것만 진정으로 이해할 수 있어." 여우가 말했다.
"Men have no more time to understand anything.
"사람들은 어떤 것을 이해할 시간이 없어.
They buy things all ready made at the shops.
그들은 가게에서 이미 만들어진 것을 사지...
But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more.
하지만, 우정을 살 수 있는 가게는 없어. 그래서 사람들은 더 이상 친구가 없지.
If you want a friend, tame me."
니가 친구를 원한다면 날 길들여줘."
"What must I do, to tame you?" asked the little prince.
"널 길들이려면 어떻게 해야해?" 어린왕자가 물었습니다.

"인내심이 필요하지" 여우가 대답했습니다.

"우선 조금 떨어진 곳에 앉아. 나처럼.. 풀밭에.."

곁눈질로 나를 봐. 아무말도 하지 말고.
